YouTube Rewind 2018 breaks all records

Just a few days ago YouTube made its usual review a year; and as is tradition, published a video that brought together the most famous creators, the most shared memes, and the events of which everyone spoke this 2018.

At least, that was the idea of the YouTube Rewind 2018. A video that represents Youtube and youtubers, which serves to unite all the creators and the audience. At the moment of truth, everything has turned out to be anything but that; and YouTube users have made sure to make it clear.

The new most hated YouTube video

At the time of writing these words, YouTube Rewind 2018 has become the most hated video in the history of YouTube. He has exceeded 9.8 million "I do not like", and "only" has been able to get 2.1 million "Like". It is, by far, the video that has suffered the most negative reactions.

Pew Die Pie also did not like the hated 'Rewind' of 2018: "The community is unhappy than ever with YouTube"

It has already exceeded 10 million dislikes. Currently, it already adds more than 10 million "I do not like" (data from Likes Counter), while that of Justin Bieber slightly exceeds 9.9 million dislikes.

We can ask ourselves why this video is generating so much rejection by users. Marques Brownlee (better known as MKBHD), one of the most important YouTubers on the planet (with a very important role in this year's Rewind), uploaded a video a few hours ago to explain his version of events:

Everything pointed to this happening very quickly since this week has been accumulating dislikes by leaps and bounds. Finally, all the predictions have been fulfilled and he has snatched this title from Justin Bieber's 'Baby'.

This way, it supersedes the video clip of Baby, by Justin Bieber, who until now had the dubious honor of being the video with more "I do not like it". The difference is that Baby collected the 9.8 million negative reactions over eight years; YouTube Rewind 2018 has achieved the same in just one week. We have never seen such a reaction before a specific video.

Brownlee says that YouTube is too stubborn to show all "how nice and clean YouTube is" to advertisers, omitting people, trends and videos that have been important in 2018.

Promotional videos with too much content and in which there are important absences

The video already exceeds 120 million reproductions with more than one and a half million comments (almost all negative) and 10 million dislikes. Pure engagement. Negative, but engagement.

The Youtube Rewind 2018, yearbook with the best and most important videos of the year according to this platform, was positioned as the most hated in history. The subscribers criticized that the most outstanding YouTubers are not there.

YouTube Rewind 2018 is the annual compilation of the most important videos of the platform. This year he positioned himself as the most hated, receiving the most comments and negative ratings. The yearbook received until Thursday more than 10 million clicks with negative ratings, seven days after its publication.

Before this video, the most hated was Baby, by Justin Bieber, who in the history of the platform received 9,911,263 thumbs down. One of the main criticisms, for example of forums such as Reddit, is that the video does not show the most important and important YouTubers, reported Clarín, who have up to 75 million subscribers.

The biggest audiovisual stars like PewDiePie or Logan Paul, are those that do not appear in the video, but the actor Will Smith, who does not even have a channel on this platform. The problem with the video, according to Marques Brownlee, a technology blogger, is that "the distance between what the community expects and what YouTube wants to show has never been so clear."

KSI VS. LOGAN PAUL WEIGH IN

Tomorrow it's finally time: The Youtuber Logan Paul and KSI climb into the boxing ring in the Manchester Arena. In front of about 21,000 spectators, they deliver the boxing match of the year. But who is the favorite?

That's why Logan could win Paul

Physically, Logan Paul clearly has the advantage. With his 1.88 meters, he is 5 inches taller than his opponent. He is also 8 kilos heavier, so he has more muscle mass. Another plus: Logan has another range. That means he can strike from a safe distance. KSI, on the other hand, lacks the arm length to make the same strikes.

That speaks for KSI

But also KSI is not to be underestimated. The Youtuber is extremely ambitious - and has already boxing experience. In the last fight against Joe Weller, he was the clear winner out of the ring.

Even before the Battle on Saturday, he always showed Logan in the barriers. at a press conference, he shared a lot with him and his family: "How did your dad manage to give birth to two foolish children? What's wrong with his sperm?" He shouted into the crowd. Logan then even furiously left the stage. In recent weeks KSI repeatedly taunts against his opponent, even published a nasty Diss-track. If he can handle as many punishments as insults, he is sure to win.
