"True Detective": teaser reveals Season 3 launch month

HBO has been pushing a third season of "True Detective" for some time now. After the series, which gets a new storyline and cast each season, lost a lot of quality already in season two, the project was on hold for an indefinite period of time. Nic Pizzolatto, the inventor of the show, has come up with the rough story for the third time, with the producer of the thriller "Green Room" providing production support HBO with competent support. The action of the third season is relocated to the Ozarks. Actually, the counter in the US is a popular holiday destination with huge forests and many lakes. But in "True Detective" there are murders that force Mahershala Ali's character in three different time levels to investigate.

Luckily, last night's teaser release following the Sharp Objects finale looks as if series makers Nic Pizzolatto and HBO have learned from their mistakes. The preview definitely has a similarly mystical-atmospheric vibe like Season 1 and the search for missing children is a better match than the murder of a corrupt politician. Like the first season, Season 3 will take place on several time levels - this time even three - which you can also see in the trailer.
