Saints at New Orleans Holds Tip of National league

Drew Brees was not as strong on Monday night, but New Orleans Saints beat the Panthers 12-9 in the NFL Week 15 game at the Bank of America Stadium.

Chris Manhertz gave the Panthers the lead by receiving a 50-yard touchdown pass, but Saints responded with two field goals from Wil Lutz (46 and 24 yards) before finishing the first part of the game. For the last period, the New Orleans team took the lead with a score by Alvin Kamara, who carried the ball 16 yards to the promised area. Lutz missed the extra point.

Then Panthers defenseman D. Jackson intercepted an attempt to convert by the Saints and took the ball to the diagonals to add two more points to his score and placed the score 12-9.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw for 203 yards, completed 23 of 35 passes and was intercepted once. That way the Panthers were approaching only a field goal of a disadvantage when the fourth quarter was still to be played. In that span, Cam Newton's offense was stopped, as it happened all night, in a poor quarterback game with only 131 yards and an interception.
The Saints mounted a drive larguísimo of 14 plays that lasted more than 7 minutes, and consumed a lot of time, including the two timeouts he had left the Panthers, but ended at the 1 Carolina with another setback: a fumble. The rookie catcher Tommylee Lewis carried the ball in 3ª & 4 in the CAR 5 but released the ball when they hit him looking for the touchdown when he had the first goal. Possession for the premises with 1:40 for the final down by three.

Newton again showed that he is far from the superlative level he lived in the 2015 season and, with time to spare, he could barely cover 19 yards and lost the game with imprecise passes and little leadership despite playing the season against the support of your audience.

In the end, Brees came in and put his knee to the floor to sentence the twelfth victory of the year for New Orleans (12-2) which is a triumph of securing the # 1 seed of the NFC and receiving all the Playoffs in the Superdome. While Carolina (6-8) lost its sixth straight game and is on the verge of elimination, it needs a series of combination of results to get into.
Cam Newton, quarterback of Carolina, gained 131 yards, made 16 shipments of 29 pitches and also delivered the ball once.

The Saints are placed with a 12-2 mark; while Panthers is 6-8.

In Week 16, Saints will host the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Falcons will play at the home of the Carolina Panthers. Both games will be on Sunday, December 23.
