Nintendo showed its novelties for the rest of 2018 and early 2019 in a live broadcast
Nintendo celebrated last night, at 0:00 local time, a Nintendo Direct. It had delayed a few days due to the typhoon that had affected Japan, but it was worth waiting. The company has shown or announced a lot of video games for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch, its two current consoles. In addition to games, the Japanese company confirmed the launch of its online service for Switch. It will arrive on September 19, it will allow improvements in the online games and in the mobile app of the console, it will activate the games saved in the cloud (for certain video games, only) and will allow playing a catalog of games of the NES, the first Nintendo home console. All for 20 euros a year, although payments can be made per month, per quarter or as a family.
Here you have a complete list of all the games that could be seen yesterday and what is more or less interesting about them. Nintendo Direct Games for Nintendo 3DSThe Nintendo notebook has clearly gone into the background and 2019 will almost certainly be the last year the company pays attention, but until then, there are four Nintendo Direct games for her. For starters, an adaptation of a game of Wii U, More Kirby in the Kingdom of the Threads. It is a childish and simple game and nothing new really, although it brings some extras in this version (more characters, more powers). It leaves in 2019. An adaptation of Luigi's Mansion, the Game Cube game, was also announced for the laptop, which will feature a cooperative mode as a novelty; and another called Mario and Luigi: Trip to the Bowser Center - The adventures of Bowsy, who takes the 3DS game and adds new content dedicated to Bowser Jr.
Finally, Yo-Kai Watch Blasters, a free expansion of the popular ghost game that many consider the Pokémon of this generation. Nintendo Direct games for Nintendo SwitchHere comes to the important thing and what more people were waiting for: new games for Switch. The first that Nintendo announced was Luigi's Mansion 3, another sequel to the saga starring Mario's brother and which combines exploration, humor and the capture of nothing terrifying ghosts. It is launched in 2019.
They also announced the release date of MegaMan 11, on October 2, 2018; four new characters for Mario Tennis Aces (Birdo, Shy Guy, Paratroopa and Floro Piranha) that will arrive in the update of September 19; a compilation of recreational games called Capcom Beat'em up (it arrives on September 18); and Katamari Damacy Reroll , a remastering of the classic with a new multiplayer mode. Nintendo Switch will also receive a set of adaptations of games already launched on other platforms that are not Nintendo:
- Cities Skyline: now available
- Civilization VI: November 16
- Warframe: October 25
- Just Dance 2019: 25 Cotubre.
- FIFA 18: September 28
- Team Sonic Racing: Winter
- NBA 2K19: Now available
- NBA Playgrounds 2: Autumn
- LEGO DC Super-Villains: October 19
Of all these adaptations, the eight Final Fantasy games stand out, including Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age and Final Fantasy Crystal Cruelicles Remastered Edition.
Despite all these releases, the most outstanding games by Nintendo are still their own: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a new character from the Animal Crossing saga, which is neither more nor less than Canela. And if this were not enough for fans of the franchise, they know that in 2019 there will be a new game in the saga for Switch.
Nothing is known at the moment about names such as Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3, which had previously been mentioned in other company events. And rumors about the announcement of a new Golden Sun (Nintendo has renewed its patent on the brand in Europe) seemed unfounded.
